#8 Hit Below The Belt

Belt RAD

The difference between a good run and a great run (in my book) is proper hydration. But who wants to carry around a gallon of water while pounding the pavement? Nobody! The running gear world totally understands this, which is why running belts are usually wrapped around the hips of almost every serious long distance runner around. But here’s the twist, each and every runner has a different amount of junk in the trunk- so finding the right hydration belt can be quite the challenge. I am one of those runners dragging around a nice size load so I appreciate a belt that sits at my hips and stays at my hips all run long. So guess what big booty girls? I found one! The Fitletic Hydration Belt. Thanks to the silicone grippers this below the waist buddy stays put. Plus, unlike any other hydration belt I’ve seen, this one also comes with toggles for your race number. Awesome right?! The bottles are the perfect size and shape (not too heavy or bulky), and the pouch for your phone or whatever you need to carry lies perfectly flat. Comfy hydrated running experience coming right up!

#9 Sock It To ‘Em

Socks RAD

Ok, here we go- FitGirl runner confession: I. Hate. Socks. So much so that I don’t wear them when I run. Don’t laugh, this odd runner fetish is actually pretty common. However when it comes to long distance running, “naked running” (as they call it) can be painful and uncomfortable for your toesies. So what is a sock hating FitGirl runner to do? Find a sock that performs like a sock yet doesn’t feel like one…and I am proud to say I found two pairs yall! 1) lululemon Women’s Ultimate No Show Run Sock. Made out of TACTEL® Nylon, LYCRA® these feet covers have pads on your toes and under your shoelaces to add comfort and protection against blisters. Plus the the knit ‘Y’ rib heel prevents your socks from slipping down while you PR.
2) Stance Woodstock Rainbow. With their no-show cut, super soft (think walking on a cloud) cotton feel and elastic support system these teeny tiny socks perform big. So get two pairs girlfriend and sock it to ‘em.

#10 Stash And Dash

Pants RAD

The best runs are the ones I can head out the door and not have to carry a whole lot. While I love a good running fanny pack, the truth of the matter is, sometimes those babies can hold a sista down. So when I see a pair of running tights that have pockets galore I get excited. With that said, lets just say I almost did a roundhouse back hand spring when I came across the lululemon Speed Tight *Luxtreme. Stuff your fueling treats, keys or whatever in the signature 3-pocket waistband and change playlists without the fuss due to the deep side easy access pockets! Also, while you are out clocking miles in your new favorite running tights, you can kiss chaffing goodbye too since these flattering tights have flat seams. And, if you find yourself running into the sunset flip the cuffs and up your visibility with the inner reflective liner around the ankle. Are you in love yet? Go for it running diva, stash and dash.
